What they ARE:

Marsupials: The developmental and reproductive strategies of marsupial mammals differ from those of placental mammals.  In marsupials, most maternal nutritional support of the developing young is through lactation.  The young are born at an extremely altricial state and undergo most development while attached to the teat.  In order to achieve functional independence at an altricial state, the marsupial embryo accelerates the development of certain bones of the facial region, most cranial musculature and a few additional structures.  At the same time, relative to placentals, marsupials delay significantly the development of central nervous system structures, in particular the forebrain.

Omnivores: n 1: a person who eats all kinds of foods 2: an animal that feeds on both animal and vegetable substances

Pack/Troop Hunters: They do not enjoy carrion, they do not have the stomachs for it.  So grrrls and bois hunt for their meat.  They hunt in packs, using group strategy as well as power.  I single boi or grrrl on their own can hunt for themselves, but they prefer group interaction.  Vegetable substances are readily eaten when meat is not available.  Their teeth display this preferance of diet with 8 (4 top, 4 bottom) incisors located at the front of the mouth along the apex of the dental arch teeth in the front of the mouth, 8 cuspids (2 on either side of the incisors top and bottom) 4 canines and 8 molars more difficult to see in the back. (that's 4 more cuspids than humans).

What they are NOT:

Foxes: While similar in markings, and similar in tail, they are not foxes.  When I draw a fox they have errect ears and white-tipped tails.  Grrrls and Bois have powerful hind legs for leaping, their tails have more movement like that of a cat, the bones and muscles are a little hevier than that of a fox- for balance during running.  Vixens don't have pouches!

Real: I made the damned things up.  I was tired of drawing a fat kangaroo tail, but I liked how my character looked otherwise- therefor the fluffy tail.  Then after a few, "Well then what is she?"s I decided that being a butt-head and saying "A girl" wasn't enough.  I needed to figure out what they were.  Suprisingly this all came to me pretty quickly.  I don't often make up species so to be this inspired was differant.

Open to just anyone: I like being unique.  You want a character that's a Grrrl/Boi then ask me about it.  I just don't want my idea to be looked at as yours.  I wont take your stuff, you don't take mine.  Fair enough.  We can however collaborate so don't fear me getting angry if you just want to make a picture.  I like fan art.  I just don't want to sign on to Taps one day and find a whole colony of something I made up unless I was part of it- Capiche?
